About Us

The Back to Buckinbah Festival is a heart-driven celebration of Yeoval—its people, its past, and its potential. Born from a vision to reconnect our community with its roots, the festival brings Yeoval’s rich rural history to life through tradition, storytelling, and good old-fashioned fun. From Cobb & Co carriage rides to blacksmithing, camp oven cook-offs to live music, it’s a family-friendly event designed to entertain, inspire, and unite.

More than just a festival, it’s a movement. A chance to showcase Yeoval’s charm, spirit, and resilience. With over 1,000 attendees at our inaugural event—more than triple the town’s population—it’s clear we’ve sparked something special. The festival supports local businesses, promotes tourism, and gives back to community groups who keep our village vibrant.

Our aim is simple but powerful: by celebrating Yeoval’s deep-rooted, rich history, we can embrace the present and secure our village’s future for decades to come. We’re building momentum for a brighter tomorrow—one that honours the past, celebrates the now, and grows our future.

The Back to Buckinbah Festival is Yeoval’s love letter to itself, and everyone is welcome to be part of the next chapter.

Our mission is to promote tourism as we celebrate Yeoval's vibrant history every year.

We aim to increase attendance at the festival while raising funds for local initiatives.

We honour and share the authentic rural Australian culture through our festival events.

Our goal is to uplift the Yeoval community and contribute to its sustained growth.

A day of family fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories at the heart of Yeoval.

This festival not only enhances local tourism but also serves as a vital fundraising platform for our non-profit organisation. It beautifully unites history and community spirit.
